After getting my D70 about 3 weeks ago, I've made a few MAJOR boo boos. Heh. So, what are the things that YOU guys think are representative of a Manual Film using going Digital? (I still love Film though!)

1) When you can't even remember what mode you are in, Aperture priority, Shutter Priority, Manual, damn
confusing!!!

2) When you camped out at the Esplanade for 4 hours. Only to shoot the HK Team Fireworks at F25!

3) When you camped out at the Esplanade for 3 hours. Only to have your battery go flat halfway in the SG Team Fireworks!

Sigh.
I'll really have to work on my D70....

I love photography when i was 13years old, i uses my father's camera, and it's film so i can't really shoot alot, till now i finally own a digital camera. It's cool! Digital world eh? :)

did you try to advance your film after every shot but cannot find the lever?

did you get a shock the continous shooting mode

did you miss the metal body feeling? the retro shapes?

darn...

After using manual film for some time, now using AF, i still get shocked by auto film advance and continuos shooting, cos i usually let my finger go down and hold there for slightly more than half a second.

You wait until you finish your card before changing ISO

You keep fiddling with all the settings because you don't know what Auto does

You add grain to your photos in your digital darkroom

You feel much farther away from everything cos of the tiny viewfinder

yep i missed the split screen...

- when u tried to load film into the cf holder

- when u change cf after every 36 shots

- when u turn the aperture ring and relize it wun fire

- when u forget to on the cam

- when u try to pick your cf card

- Ur left hand automatically moves to the focusing ring

- U prefer to MF than AF

i miss the aperture ring

yes i fumble for all the controls, auto ??? what's that

1 very habbit i never got away from using manual cameras is the manual mode.

until now, i only use the M mode most of the time, i never quite like the other modes, shutter or aperture or even program.

U never had to worry about batteries before

not to mention that when shooting MF film always forget to slip in the box cover to the body....
