Just got a new set in Taipei for NT$18500 (S$880). So far tried shooting at 50mm & 150mm, and at both end giving a very reasonable sharp images. Will be trying out the lens at low light tonight at Yu Ren Ma Tou. Will update results later.:)

But for the price of S$880, very reasonable so far. With an extra S$60, got myself a 67mm Schneider digital ultravioleta filter. The 77mm is only abt S$86, which i also bought 1.:)

can we get that here in SG? I am thinking of getting a copy as well, either Sigma or Tokina...

iirc, the Sigma cost $1150 here

uh oh... the more i read about it, the more i get poisoned...

The Tokina 50-135 is more expensive than Sigma in Taipei by NT$500+. The bokeh for f2.8 is reasonable, silent with HSM as compared to the Tokina. AF is also reasonably fast, but no IS only.:D

It comes with International warranty, so not so worry.

Forgot to include that the Sandisk UltraII 4gb here is selling for abt S$105. And most of the accessories here is reasonably cheap as compared to in S'pore.

For those who intend to travel to Taipei, can visit the shop around Taipei Railway station. They are located along the Camera street between Xi Men Ding & Taipei Railway station.

Would you guys recommend this sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 over a nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8?

Never own a Nikon, so can't answer you. But if you need that extra distance and price is reasonable, why not?:)

Which Shop is it ? there is so many shop there

50-150mm is a good lens... for those who do not wish to lug ard a f2.8, 80-200mm which weights abt 1300g should consider this lens. The lens weight abt 700g. It is suitable for event and wedding photography where u want to take some "paparazzi shots" from a distance. At f2.8, the picture will be a bit soft as compare to the original lens. At f4. it is tact sharp. See the pictures below:

f2.8, 150mm, 1/5000
