Ya.... But still no Art Siggy 30/1.4...

Boohooohooooo.....

But not to detract, this Siggy 18-35/1.8 is really HUGE, heavy but SEXY!
The specs apart from the physicals(weight, measurement, etc), seems to be awesome... Left to see what's the IQ will be like..

Sample IQ look rather good.
The price is really attractive.

My only concern is weight and size.
Looks like its near a 50-135 in size.
I won't need 18mm at f1.8 in most cases too.
But f1.8 from 24mm to 35mm is real nice to have.

I doubt I will buy one since my primes cover from 15mm to 35mm.
But I can see it being a very viable zoom for anyone who wants to start off with a highly capable very fast zoom.

Sigma create good lenses and I got Sigma 10-20mm F3.5 for my K5IIs very good lens sharp too, but their lens is heavy as compare to Pentax lenses its prime lens is the size of my OMD prime lenses! small and light weight!

Does anyone know if our agent will bring in the K-mount ones? This lens is beginning to sound like a more versatile one than the DA12-24 for travel needs (save for weight and size).

With Apd now our pentax distributor , I got a strong feeling it should be available for k mount .

This is a very good events lens for my usage . Esp if you shoot with 2 camera , the secondary pair with a fast 50 , result should be good

This lens would be almost perfect for a wedding photog with an APS-C camera ......perhaps just pair it with a wider prime for the group shots ..... ;)
