hi guys!

is anyone using Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS (Optical Stabilizer)?

any comments on the quality of shots and
does the OS comparable to the IS and VR of canon and nikon respectively?

please advice.i'm quite hesitant to use third party lenses.
im a canon 40d user

thanks.;)

I'd rather you wait for the Canon EF-S 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 IS. Optical quality from the Sigma is nothing to shout about. Hopefully, Canon can put up a better performance.

are you a Canon user? if yes, like what MarkTan has said, wait for the Canon EF-S 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 IS. i am kinda looking forward to it.

have any idea when it will come out?

Using the Sigma 18-200mm OS so far..iq wise its a superzoom lens so its nth to shout about, very versatile though, since i bought it to replace my kit18-55 i have not removed it. OS is noisy but effective(it emits a high pitched whine when active), HSM focusing is fast but hunts abit in low light. Overall if u are looking for a jack of all trades master of none this is the lens to get.

lens is quite soft at its widest apeture and suffers from vignetting at tele-end. barrel distortion at 18mm also.
