I am considering the above combo for birding photography.
Currently, I am using 300f/4L + 1.4TC and may not know when will an upgrade urge is knocking;(, but as of now what are all users and ex-users or potential users opinion about this combo.

Would it be better to buy on-line from Wimberley, Naturephotographer.net or others on-line purchase or from local agent?

What will be the limitation of Side-kick? Weight leimits etc?
:)

Have used sidekick for a year before upgrade to full wimberley gimbal. The sidekick is good and its movement is very smooth and easy to control. It is able to hold up to 500mm F4 lens. If you have the intention of further upgrade to 500mm F4 or 600mm F4, you might consider to get the full wimberley gimbal. You need to have a good ball head gives you smooth panning movement too.

You can purchase your wimberley sidekick from Cathay in Singapore or www.BHphotovideo.com, www.tripodhead.com. If you purchase from overseas, you have to consider of the shipping charges and the exchange rate which might add up to almost the same price when you purchase it in Cathay.
