any suggested location for awesome timelapse ?
hard to do astrolapse in sg, too much light. maybe in the deserted areas.
Sunset at the beach, cityscape at higher ground ? i wonder if we can get to a good high location besides the parks

u need intevelometer (timer remote controllers) if u wanna to shoot timelapse..

Count me in.

everyone needs an intervalometer except the nikonians

I may like to go to MB sky park but not sure if the numbers would permit.

yes, tripod is a must, the sturdy the better,
memory cards with large capacity,
fully charged camera battery
an intervalometer, you can find it in mass sale section,
you also need a software to compile the shots into video clip.

since most members have not done timelapse before, it is advisable to keep it simple, unlike normal shooting, you can't adjust framing, exposure setting, WB or focusing during the capture, you don't want spend ten twenty minutes shooting a few hundreds frames and realize the shots are not usable.

Just a basic explanation
3 sec interval for 60sec (1min)
Will give you 20 frames
20f x 20mins = 400 frames
After processing 400/25fps
It'll give you 16 secs of video ; D

Thanks for this thread, i am very intrested in this field of photography.

Anyone mind to set the time and date for an outing ?

It usually takes quite a number of shutter count to achieve it.
You can take in many places. The 2 videos i attach, are taken from my home,
which i tested.

Take shots and process it using a software.
I can suggest PhotoLapse, a freeware i got it from the net.
