lets join us this outing !! it is suitable for landscape, macro and etc shooting style.
welcome all the camera models and beginners, let us gather up for photography knowledge sharing and you may enjoy the group socialize.

Outing Venue
Location: Sungei Buloh Nature Park + Lim Chu Kang Jetty Sunset
Date: 1st August

meeting point: kranji mrt
meeting time: 10am

transport from kranji mrt to sungai buloh nature park
Board SMRT Bus 925 from Kranji MRT Station. Alight at Kranji Reservoir
Carpark for 15-min walk to the Reserve.

it have a bus express at kranji mrt, it is 1045am, 1215pm etc... 1 and a half hour per bus...

Hi guys, I just tried the following cycling route which is pretty enjoyable. Not a park connector road with no cars at all.. distance pretty long especially on our 16" wheels (but good workout) so not recommended for young children for entire journey.

If you take MRT, alight at either Yew Tee or Choa Chu Kang MRT
If you drive, park at Choa Chua Kang Park

Locate Choa Chu Kang Way heading north towards Sungei Kadut (not towards Bukit Batok) and ride along the traffic on the pavement. There is almost no pedestrian on this long stretch of pavement.

At the end of CCK Way, continue straight towards Sungei Kadut Drive. Sungei Kadut Drive’s traffic is usually heavy with lots of trucks and lorries but on weekends starting Saturday afternoon, it’s a ghost town.

Continue straight down the long Sungei Kadut Drive until you see Kranji Way. Turn left head straight and you see Kranji Dam/Reservoir Park. Can take a break here.

Go straight you can either choose between:

1. Turning right to Neo Tiew Crescent and visit Sungei Buloh Nature Park. You can have a nice lunch here, see lots of big monitor lizards. (Binoculars are recommended if not lizards and mud skippers are all that you see, no birds are near in sight). After you are done, continue down the road where you can visit Goat Farm, Fish Farm etc. Then you will connect to Neo Tiew Road to continue the journey.

2. Go straight along to Neo Tiew Road until T-junction of Lim Chu Kang Road. Turn left and just go straight (Be Warned: this stretch is killer..Vey long). On the left is Lim Chu Kang Camp1, Tengah Airbase (too bad cannot go in to take a look at the aircrafts). At the opposite direction is Cemetries (nothing spooky, but a rather grand sight). Ride until you see Old Choa Chu Kang Road, turn left and go straight. You will see Tengah Airbase Entrance, then another few KM you see Keat Hong Camp, Home Team Academy. Go straight until you see Brickland Road which leads back to Choa Chu Kang estate again.

The total Distance (1 loop with not much detours and site visiting is around 30km).
Total time taken without much pitstops around 2 hours at around 15-18km/hour.

If halfway no more energy, can choose to take bus back. 2 TransIsland bus service available along Old Choa Chu Kang Road towards CCK and Bukit Panjang. Think there is bus service avalibale Neo Tiew as well.

I would recommend trying the way from CCK-Brickland Road-Old CCK Road-Lim Chu Kand Road-Neo Tiew-Kranji-Sungei Kadut-CCK.

I personally took the CCK-kranji-Old CCK route and found them to be very nice at beginning and quite tough mentally towards the end.

Recommend fluid to be at least 1 litre of water/Isotonic per person. 1.5litre will be better. Compact camera will be ideal or site seeing. Enjoy your ride
