10th May partial eclipse at sunrise with only 2% coverage. I don't think it's worth getting up for to shoot in Singapore.

Here's a good tool from NASA to calculate all the solar eclipses we will ever see in our lifetime in Singapore. The 26th Dec 2019 annular eclipse looks promising, time to save up for a telescope/telephoto lens + solar filters, and give yourself as a Christmas present. :D

Ya, what lens to shoot the sun that's below the horizon har?
Star Trek Warpdrive lens.

Or you know, the usual "eclipse" lens that we can add to the events lens, wedding lens, birthday lens, etc.
