Shooting beyond 400D shutter count of 40000

Has anyone shoot > 40K of the recommended max. shutter count eos 400D?

I called up CSC today and learnt shutter count for eos 400D is 40K.

within 1st year warranty, replace shutter unit cost 60-70SGD exc. GST.

no warranty, replace shutter unit and worksmanship cost 120SGD.

CSC says possible effects can be insynchronisation of flash and shutter curtain. tt's 1 sign to change shutter unit.

Any 1 has experience similiar experience like insynchronisation? :sweat:

How on earth did you get your shutter speed to 40k so quickly

my 400D bought in dec 2006 till now. my total shots is > 10K liao.

btw, i shoot with 400D almost everyday.

indoors, I shoot mainly toys like transformers, and macross. plus products like food or clothes on weekdays.

outdoors, i can shoot buildings on weekends.

mayb next time when hit 40K u can tell me about yr user experience of the 400D by then.. hehe..
