it's late.. but happy new year to all ClubSNAP's members.

;p:):D:

must be my unlucky day ~ :)

Looks good. Care to share more to comment :D

1. Why is it your unlucky day?

2. How does looking Japanese has anything to do with the pictures?

3. Why do you think the model in the pictures you posted looks Japanese?

4. Does looking Japanese an important factor in the final image?

Inquiring mind likes to know :)

I kinda thought she looks more korean...

I kinda thought she looks more korean...

But what does that has to do with the pictures?

Nothing.

So, the original title, what purpose does it try to achieve?

My understanding is that the pictures tried to portray a woman as looking japanese.

If that is the intention, I think the 2 pictures failed miserably. I see nothing that I can definitively pin the "Japanese" label onto.

That's why i was thinking korean. Even the photography style and post-processing reminds me of shots on some korean forums.

Hi DP...

Greeting.

me speechless, I haven't thought of the facts / questions you've posted... would it be appropriate if I said that I've set the wrong title ?

That's why i was thinking korean. Even the photography style and post-processing reminds me of shots on some korean forums.

perhaps changing to to korean title ?

actually, I've tried posting this in the critics corner but it didn't show up, then I posted it up here. I've seen many beautiful photos with more dramatic feel...

some question I have...

1. how can I make #2 more dramatic ? do I need to introduce more lighting while taking this kind of portraiture ?

2. Is the background too messy ? I think it is, I need confirmation.

3. any other opinions on improving the photos would be appreciated.

thanks guys.

I actually like both picture, especially 1.

However, I see neither Japanese nor Korean, and feel either has actually nothing to do with the image. No sure why it is needed in the first place.

the clothing doesn't make her looks like Japs or Korean ?

or is it the skin tone ?
