Hey folks, just decided to create my first consolidated landscape thread. Other than cars, travelling and shooting landscapes are also one of my passions.

I am always grateful for the opportunity to travel and see the world, while recognising that there are others less fortunate who dont have the chance to do so. Hopefully, my photos do capture a little essence of the places I've been to and appeal to you guys as well.

As always, comments and critiques are welcome, so here goes!

1. City Skyline, Central, Hong Kong. This was taken in December 2010.

2. Star Ferry, Hong Kong. Ranked in many guidebooks as one of the cheapest and best tourist attractions in the world, the Star Ferry is a Hong Kong institution in its own right.

3. Narrow Streets, Madrid. The maze of narrow streets around Plaza Mayor are a warren. When wandering around, this lady holding her umbrella caught my eye.

4. Plaza Mayor, Madrid. It was raining quite continuously when I was there, but the trade off was the corresponding reduction in the number of tourists. Braved the light drizzle to catch this shot.

5. Old Houses, Bayeux, Normandy. Time appears to have stood still for these old houses. They still seem in the WW2 era.

6. View from Arc de Triomphe, Paris. What a lovely, bright and sunny day. :)

Countries, affluent or less so, have a leveling factor. Sunsets are always marvellous wherever you go in the world. Do pardon me for posting these shots again, I have shown them earlier in a Cambodia thread.

Very nice! 4,5 are my favourites. #4 looks a bit cartoon-like. Like scene in Ratatouille-the mouse chef :)

 hope to visit some these places soon :D

12. Ion Orchard, Singapore.

Some great shots, if you think #5 looks like WW2 you need to see some of the houses in London. I like the HK lights, the aussie pictures I know you have more!
