just to share my findings when i was at gardens by the bay waiting for the rehearsal. The jets will come in along the barrage reservoir. They will fly in & their performance will be above the skies of floating platform.
Actual fly in commence at around 11:45 - 11:50 with

1) the chinook & flag first,
2) followed by the "50" formation by the F16s.
3) Choppers like seahawk, super puma, apache, chinook.
4) F5s & mid-air refueling aircraft
5) Black Knights performance (star burst & a cross between 2 knights from what i can remember)
6) F-15 Eagles performance.

The whole thing ended at approx. 12:15pm. I took some passable shots only as i wasn't sure where they will be coming in from. Also, today's weather was really cloudy, not sunny enough.

According to 2 rsaf staff who were stationed there, the performance will be rehearsed every Saturday at the combined rehearsal. The advice me to probably standby ard 5+ in advance.

According to info from the NDP site, Marina Basin will have 2 fireworks source in addition to the usual pyro around Padang plus 7 commercial buildings around it. I wonder which is the best location to shoot. Looking at the location of the Padang to the Marina Basin, I assume jubilee bridge will have the best spot, am I right? Anyway, I am going there in the evening to check it out.

I feel the timing for the fly past is quite late... From observed, the sky already turning quite dark and might be tough to really get good photos with good lighting

I was there and we waited until 10pm when we were told by the staff that the firework has been cancelled.

Well. The whole pack of us didn't want to give up. Lol. Anyway, by 9.30, padang was still shooting Pyro, so, we thought the whole thing was delayed not cancelled.

Sharing my timings for Combined Rehearsal 1, these are for some of the displays that you can take photos of from the Marina Bay area. Unfortunately no main fireworks for CR1 so can't advice on time (an official told us there will be fireworks so I waited past 8.30pm, however there was some miscommunication with the bumboats which restarted their service, took some time for the safety boats to usher them back, and by that time it was too late for the fireworks... ;p )

Again these are rehearsal timings so take it as a very rough guide hehe:
5.40pm - Red Lions parachuting down
(there was one flypast, I think the “Five Stars” Tribute Aerial Flypast some time before the National flag flypast but as I was setting up didn't catch it)
6.40pm - National flag flypast
6.42pm - '50' formation, bomb burst by F16s
6.45pm - 21 gun salute
6.54pm - aerial displays - helicopter formation, transports planes, Black Knights 'criss cross' manoeuvre, 1x F15SG with afterburner, 3x F15SG 'flat burst'

Celebrate Singapore50 with our very own Black Knights this Golden Jubilee Weekend!

Even though our Black Knights are full-time operational pilots, they have been training very hard since late last year to put up a full 22 manoeuvre aerial display for our Singapore's 50th Birthday!
