Just wondering , if i was to take photos at a indoor gig where it is dark? what should my settings be like? Ok its a rock concert with lotsa jumping ( the perfomers ).

Shutterspeed should therefore be fast to capture the movement , how about aperature?

I want sharp photos.

set to highest iso - 1600
if can use flash during the show, den is good.
if cannot, use aparture such as f2.8 and focus on the person, not anywhere else.
always try to take pictures b4 the show starts to see whether the exposure etc is okay.
cheers ;)

can i conclude that different cameras have different grain lvls at 1600 ISO?

greatly depends on the lighting. usually ISO1600 at f/2.8 can give pretty fast shutter speed.

thanks man got to try this at a next gig.

yeah, sometimes diff cam have diff level.
but unless ya wana print out big pictures,if not the grain for a normal size (4R) picture print is not that easy to notice. ;) just try out b4 the show starts.
