Hi,

I am going to the singapore airshow. I want to take pictures of the airplanes flying in the air.

Does it make sense for me to set to MF and infinity to take them?

If I set to AF, I may have to waste some time to 'hunt' the airplanes.

thanks =)

and any tips for taking them?

The pictures will be slightly OOF unless you stop down. Even if you pointed your camera at the moon, it wouldn't be infinity distance. It's close to infinity on the focus scale, but not infinity.

Tips? Rent a 70-200 2.8L ;)

depending on which model of camera you're using. AI servo wouldnt really perform that well on certain camera body.

im planning to watch the airshow too, i'll be using tamron 70-300 with my d70s. will af-c be helfull on taking photos of moving/flying aircraft? just got this body a couple of weeks ago and haven't have the time to play with it lately, appreciate some inputs from you guys, thanks

hmm,

so setting to infinity is a 'no no' then.

ok, will set to AL servo
