Hi Guys, I have a Canon EOS 550D and have problem with the lens that cannot be set to auto focus.
Anyone can advise where is the best place to get it fix?

Appreciated your genuine recommendation.

Welcome to Clubsnap.
1) What lens is this? The kit lens of 18-55mm?
2) Have you tried using a different lens to verify whether it is the lens or maybe a camera issue?
There have been cases reported in the past about a broken ribbon cable inside the kit lens. Unfortunately, Canon does not provide the material to third parties. You could check with The Camera Hospital or Canon Service Center about the options and costs.
My suggestion would be to look for the newer versions of the kit lenses. They come with IS (Image Stabilization), the STM auto focus system (faster and silent) and also better optical quality. You can check the 18-55 IS STM, the 18-135 IS STM and the 18-200 IS STM. Second hand prices start at about $100 for 18-55.
