Hi, I am thinking to send my photos for printing, preferably 4R. However, the photos from my Panasonic Lumix LX1 are mostly in 16:9, some are in 4:3 and some in 3:2, what should be the correct resolution should I resize before I sent it for printing?

Or do I have to specify that I wants 16:9 prints(if it exist)?

Thanks in advance.

recommended resolution is 300 dpi, so for 4R prints (4" by 6"), you image should have at least 1200 pixel by 1800 pixel.

try to stick to conventional size like 4R, 5R, 8R, (cheaper compare to other odd size prints) you can use photoshop to make two 16:9 image into one file to print on one 8R paper, and you can cut into 2 photo yourself later, it will be cheaper this way. but you need to check with your lab first, some labs will charge extra if the print has two or more image in it.

hope this helps.
