1. Create a duplicate window of the photo in the Photoshop.
2. Convert the duplicate to Black and White (Monochrome).
3. Select and copy the black-and-white one and paste it over the color one.
4. Use eraser tool to reveal the part you want the color to appear.

There maybe a smarter way to do it, but I don't know how. Mine is not-so-smart way.

Your background isn't that bad. I also like your mixing of B/W with the coloured eggs.

If the eggs are rotten, wonder what colour will turn out?
