I was contacted by a textbook publisher, they request to use one of my picture in their Geography textbooks for local students, for 5 years. The first print is about 7000 pcs.

I believe they just want to use the picture for publishing, and do not want the full copyright.

The company is an international publisher, I am not sure how much they can pay. But since this is for educational purpose, I do not want to overcharge.

How much should i charge them? Anyone knows the market rate?

Anyone here has experience in selling your artwork?

Thanks for help!

At least they didn't ask for free photos.

Ya, even it is for educational purpose, for the future of next generation, but they are international company, they earn $ from us. and I need $ for camera upgade :)

I was asked by some companies for free photos, they called it "Contribution", which I almost fainted. Since then, they avoided me.

Ya boy, who pays for our cam????

Any company here doing stock photograph business? This is one of our opportunity to earn some pocket money
