Hope I can get some advice here for selfie cam for travelling.

I already own a Olympus Pen mirrorless cam.
However, from previous trip, using the cam for selfie very difficult. Cannot see the picture and have to aga aga press the shutter cos cannot see the expressions of the kids.

I am thinking whether should I get a digital camera like Panasonic TZ90 or Powershot 740HS or a better phone camera like Huawei P20.

Any advice from the gurus here?

TIA

Why not your smartphone? Quite sure the screen will be much bigger to see the expressions than any Compact or DSLR camera. If need wider maybe a lens attachment :)

Just get a better phone camera? There are a few concerns:

1) Additional camera = more weight to lug around;
2) How often do you use this new selfie camera? Do you intend to dump money on this?
3) Do you already carry a tripod when travelling? If you are, can just get a wireless remote to trigger the selfies when mounted the cam on the tripod.
4) Do you still have space in the dry cabinet to accommodate this extra camera?

Hope it helps.
