Seeking advise: Fujifilm X10 or Olympus XZ-1?

Hi, I am looking at this two camera - Fujifilm X10 and Olympus XZ-1

Any recommendations between the two? The Oly XZ-1 is going at a good price at around SG$500++ and Fujifilm at SG$825.

Which has a longer lasting value?

In my research - the X10 has some white orb appearing on the photo, but a firmware update would solve this issue. The XZ-1 has an awesome bright F1.8 lens and price is right and reviews has been good as well. Between the two cameras - the X10 is heaver and feels more bang of the buck, but the XZ-1 is not bad either.

Torn between the two. Any advise? TIA.

you may like to consider the manual and electronic zoom and see which one do you prefer.

Lasting value? Commercially none of them, they are consumer electronics and the value drops by the day, sharpest drop will occur once the next models hit the market. Lasting value as photographic equipment? That depends on your skills and your requirements for taking pictures. Although, still many people rather upgrade their cameras instead of their skills.
