Seagate FreeAgent NOT Working

Dear All, i have a Seagate free Agent harddisk which require power source and usb to work. But recently, there is no power light appear on the FreeAgent. Anyone has idea what happen? Thanks

Most likely its has kaput

Mine crashed last year & send back to them coz still under warranty & all my datas got wiped out coz its too expensive to retrieve. They sent me a refurbished one later (Extreme)

Do a search in CS, along this problem, someone said that you still can recover your datas. Its only the motor is spoiled or something. It was too late for me when I saw that post

Seagate do not have Data recovery service.
Here are some options found from somewhere in the net forum : -

( I think is the same as 3/. Special rate for Student and Seagate partner )
( Have my wife friend use it which cost her S$ 300 plus for 12 GB of data )

Bro, no power light maybe the power adapter for the external hdd is faulty or maybe the casing is faulty..

try the adapter first.. if hdd within warranty better sent for warranty.. by opening up to change casing will void warranty..

Anyway the 3.5" external hard disk enclosure with power adapter is only around $30..

The adapter for the seagate casing is abit more expensive but still around $30 plus haha..

i got mine from sim lim square... same problem like yours "no power"..
