Hi,

Does anyone know is there any restrictions of the type of lens that we can use at the Indoor Stadium or the OCBC Arena?
Think there was a restriction previously at OCBC Arena where can only bring in zoom up to 105mm, no tele.
Anyone has any info on this?

Thanks.

(Sorry if I have posted in the wrong forum)

only allow non-commercial, non-flash and fixed lens cam with <= 200mm lens.

They have these stupid rules:

Note: It's "physical lens length of 200mm or less", NOT "focal length".

National Stadium

4. Photographs, images & recording
4.1 Flash photography is not permitted.
4.2 Non-commercial photography is permitted at the Venue provided:
4.2.1 That the camera used has a fixed lens of a physical lens length of 200mm or less, when fully extended.
4.2.2 That the photographs are for personal use.
4.3 All other cameras including those of a professional standard, with interchangeable or telephoto lens such as SLRs or
cameras are prohibited.
4.4 Video and audio recording devices are prohibited. Tapes, films or other recordings may be destroyed

Bring a small, say, mirrorless camera with lens < 200mm length and, say 2x teleconverter.

Let a friend of yours bring the teleconverter :p

Don't bring anything and just enjoy watching :)

provided when they check you, they failed to recognise your mirrorless lens can be swapped out. (nb. only fixed lens cam allowed).

Its v ez to spot interchangeable mirrorless cameras....

Just realize interchangeables are not allowed. Bummer..

Bring any valid cam + telescope then :p

Although personally I wouldn't bother trying to sneak anything in...

I suppose these are quite reasonable rules. 200mm physical length can kind of impede others especially during games when the audience can get quite excited.

How about the opening ceremony and the rehearsal? Also cannot use DSLR?

Reasonable indeed. Can't imagine if one accidentally drops or swing his full frame DSLR with big fat lens and it hit someone.

Heck they even ban selfie sticks ;p

Nikon P600. Pns with 2000mm equiv focal length. Problem solved.
