SDHC Memory card problem

My card has a problem... my pc can't read the card where previous it does and when I try putting it back to my LX3, the cam prompt me to format.

HOW? Any probablities that I can retrieve back before I do a formatting?

Your SD card is near end of its lifespan. Replace a new one. Each gate of the memory card has a limited number of write time (regardless brand) and depending on handling and temperature etc, the lifespan varies. The first sign of memory card failure is 5 times write failure in 2 re-format.

My record a 2GB orange color brand CF card, use 3 times spoil already (cannot write and read by camera). I am beginning to suspect there are different quality for the same item but priced lower.

I only trust Sandisk and Sony now.

haa... I'm using Sandisk! hee.
So no solution on how to retrieve back those files?

Sandisk uses RescuePro. You can try download from www.download.com. Not sure what the demo version can do.
