Found this in the Sept 2004 issue of the local PC Magazine as I was clearing them out .
Edited
Times to transfer 128 MB of assorted data and times to delete the same data

CARD ------ ----- TRANSFER ------ ----- DELETE

Kingston Elite Pro ----- 1 : 06 ----- 16 s
Kodak ---------------- 3 : 47 ----- 57 s
Lexar Media ----------- 0 : 45 ----- 5 s
Panasonic High Speed ---- 1 : 49 --- 12 s
Ranger --------------- 0 : 36 ------- 4 s
Toshiba -------------- 3 : 34 ------ 53 s

256 MB cards may be out of fashion nowadays , and manufacturers may have redesigned or improved on their products by now , but the difference between the fastest and the slowest is really substantial .

:)

Sorry the figures did not come out the way I typed them .

The first set is the loading time in minutes and seconds - x : yy

The second figure is the delete time in seconds - z s

Hope it is useful

Lexar Media & Ranger are what model?
Hi-speed one or normal speed one?

Lexar Media
According to the magazine photo , it is the green/yellow label with the word "High Speed" printed on it .
It also has a little red roundel with "32X" on it .

Ranger
Just a maroon colored card , no indications of speed or model , just the capacity .

This article was in Sept 2004 , designs could have been changed by now .
