between the sb 600 and sb 800...wats the diff???
i know the flash power and stuff...

but overall i juz need a flash tt works....??manual is very taxing currently...

where can i get the sb 600 at the lowest price brand new.??

just got one for $368 at konota.. mscolor n cp no stock at the moment.

One major diff apart from what you can read in all other threads is the SB800 can do strobe flash. It's great if you want to freeze movement. If not it's just couple hundred bucks worth of bells and whistles you don't use.

I got mine at AP at a reasonable price. try Parisilk at Holland V

One little mentioned difference is that the SB600 does not have the high voltage in for quick recycling battery packs like SD-8A or Quantum's line-up. I was wondering how come SB-800 is supported by the packs like Turbo C but not SB-600.

With that, you also get the modeling light with that so that you can check your shadows w.r.t light angle. But i tend to use the strobe function, more powerful. Careful not to burn it out though... ;p

you gotta understand that this price from tcw is for a gray set

yes Obviousdude is right. TCW is grey and comes with 1 year shop warrenty.
