New individual charging control
Monitors the voltage of batteries with different capacities to make sure each battery is charged properly.

New peak cut control
Protects batteries against over-charging once the battery has reached full charge.

Timer control
A pre-set timer acts to prevent over-charging

Temperarture control
Sensors monitor battery temperature to protect battery from temperature rise during charging

Non-rechargeable battery protector
Stops charging if a non-rechargeable battery is accidentally inserted.

Charging Times
For Ni-Cd Batteries
AA (1100mAh) - 50 mins* for 1-2 batteries; 110 min for 3-4 batteries
AA (700mAh) - 35 mins* for 1-2 batteries; 80 min for 3-4 batteries
AAA (270mAh) - 50 mins for 1-2 batteries

For Ni-MH Batteries
AA (2100mAh) - 105 mins* for 1-2 batteries; 230 min for 3-4 batteries
AA (1850mAh) - 95 mins* for 1-2 batteries; 215 min for 3-4 batteries
AAA (750mAh) - 145 mins* for 1-2 batteries

*Charging time place at the double speed charging port

- so this sanyo charger is an intelligent charger?

Isn't the w3cube 100 min charger more worth it @ $32? :dunno:

Charging time for 2100 mAh is only 160 mins for 4 batteries.

The best is to do a discharge and recharge, say about 15-20 times of charging.

Hmm... ok. 'coz I was considering between the maha 401 and this charger. According to EastGear, the maha doesn't even need to discharge first.
