any comments on the performance of Sanyo Eneloop Rechargeable Batteries over its typical rechargeable batteries? What is the current market price now? Thank you

In terms of capacity, it is smaller than the ordinary rechargeable batteries. I used it mainly becoz of its ability to hold the charge, since I do not use AA batteries regularly other than on my DSLR.

If you use the AA batteries frequently, would suggest you to get the normal ones that have higher capacity since the prices of the 2 types is similar.

In short,

Normal batteries- you pay for higher capacity with faster discharge rate

Eneloop- you pay for slower discharge rate with lower capacity.

In fact, recently maha also came out their eneloop batteries which has higher capacity and cost the same amount.

Pricing wise, my friend had recently brought for me 4 pieces of eneloop in a pack for $16 @ MS Color.
