What is the different between SanDisk Video HD™ SDHC™ and the normal SD card? Can it be used for taking pictures?

yup, it just that the read/write rate is much faster than normal cards in order to support the data churned out by HD cams..

SD an SDHC are different standards for memory cards. SD cards are limited to 4 GB max, SDHC allows up to 32 GB. SDHC capable devices (cameras, card readers) should also work with SD cards, but older SD devices cannot handle SDHC cards.
