I just feel that as an island, fish farming makes a lot of sense. However, it is tough as the Straits of Johor is so congested with commercial traffic. Is it better to move them to somewhere else ? What do fish experts think?

A better question would be... move where  ??

Fish farming need calm water to rear fish... the southern islands have just as much or ever more shipping traffic... and its depth makes building kelongs expenses.. floating platform have stable issue in strong water currents... we don't have any natural bay or cove.... building artificial ones will be $$$$....

While I like claypot Song Her head for dinner... overall, markets for freshwater fish (which has a mud smell) is limited... fish farm will be hard pressed to survive...
