I just got a S2 IS. I did file transferring via card reader. But the computer couldn't access the files in the SD card. So i have to plug the usb cable directly into the camera. by doing so, the computer can read the files but some files have been corrupted. Any ideas why this happen ? I'm using a 1 gig Sandisk Ultra II SD card.

The files in your computer (files that have been transferred fr digicam)
are corrupted? Can u view the pictures in your digicam? If u still can view it in your digicam, 2 possibilities are:
1. While transferring, u unplug the USB cable or remove the card. I noticed that while I transfer files fr card reader to a PC, even the progress show completed at your monitor screen, the card reader still busy reading/writing (lights indicator).
2. Your driver is corrupted. Reinstall it.

Actually I's like to buy the Canon S2 IS, so just like to ask do you think this camera is worth buying? How's the photo quality? Thanks! :D

Hi Bro

Did you run a low level format when u first use the card? If not try doing so and try again.

Cheers
