Do anyone have the round chip on the mode selector?

Yeah i would exchange it too if its only my set. So i guess most sets do not have that issue.

Actually I think that is normal.
Look at in between the SCN and the two circles.
Oh... a look at your pic again... if that thing that appear in your photo are depressed inward, then I guess, something had drop off from that dial.
(look to the location of where your chip was, there was a suppose to have something there, if it was not there, then it had broke off or drop out, time to exchange for a new one if you just bought ur cam.)
