S.O.S: Help NEEDED....

Is there by chance that we can select which picture to download with pictureproject?

Everytime when I download the pictures from my D70 to the pictureproject thingy.... It seems to download EVERYTHING on the card...

HELP anyone?!?

THANKS!! :)

For my P&S camera, on Windows Xp, the following steps were used to copy the files from my camera into hard disk

01. Connect the camera via USB port to the computer
02. Switch on the camera
03. Win XP will recognize the camera (or its CF card) [important checkpoint]
04. Win XP will pop-up the window asking me the option to select
05. Press Cancel
06. Open Windows Explorer (not IExplorer)
07. Look for the removable drive that is assigned to your camera
08. Go through the directory of the removable drive and locate the desired file
09. Copy or move the file to desired location on your hard drive.
10. From system tray, activate the "Safely Remove Hardware"
11. Select the removable drive that represents your camera (or its CF)
12. Windows Xp will notify you when it is safe to unplug your camera (Important!)
13. Switch off your camera and unplug cable from USB port

Fatty, connect your camera as PTP mode to the PC, there will be another drive letter appearing just below the last physical drive on your PC, open up and go inside to select which files you want to download, just copy as normal.

Alternatively, you can use Nikon Browser (http://www.nikon-asia.com) it can select pics to download based on dates shot.

Hope it helps.

beri beri chim.... PTP mode? How to get there in the 1st place....

You may refer to the page 171 to 174 of Nikon D70 manual for additional information

If you do want to use PictureProject Transfer, just click on the "show thumbnails" and then select the pictures you want to transfer, by using Ctrl+click on each picture. Think this is one area where PictureProject is superior to Nikon View.
