As requested by member weeng, we have now turned on the RSS feed for ClubSNAP so that members who wish to may have the new, active posts pushed to their newsreaders/RSS aggregators.

How to enable RSS feeds in Firefox -

1. Goto Manage Bookmarks
2. Goto File>New Live Bookmark
3. Enter the relevant info for the Live Bookmark eg Name: CS Feed
4. Under Feed Location, cut'n'paste the URL (http://forums.clubsnap.org/clubsnap_rss.php)
5. Click OK

You may also want to move the Live Bookmark to the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder, and then turn on (enable) the Bookmarks Toolbar - doing so will have the Live Bookmark show a drop-down list under the navigation bar in Firefox which will show the recent posts.

Another way - We are experimenting with sending the feed to an external aggregator, and they provide more ways of getting the feed. Try it out here - http://feeds.feedburner.com/ClubSNAP

We will be tweaking some aspects of the RSS feed to make it better (eg refresh faster), but in the meantime - Enjoy!!

Also, appreciate if members can give feedback or if they encounter any issues in this thread - Initial thread on RSS Feed by weeng

Addendum.

Added another link to Feedburner specifically for the Marketplace postings - http://feeds.feedburner.com/clubsnap-marketplace

Note that we know there are still occasional errors with this particular feed - we are investigating the cause and will fix in due course.

How to make it work on Firefox? I tried adding it as a bookmark, but instead of seeing a whole list of links, I see the RSS source itself.

Go Bookmarks/Manage Bookmarks

When you have Bookmark Manager open, File/New Live Bookmark. Enter description and then RSS url into feed location.

Hi,

Just some feedback. RSS configured for Thunderbird only shows the text summary, even though the summary option is unchecked. No problems with CNN.com which can view in html in the email client, but not for Clubsnap.

RSS Clubsnap works well on Firefox.

thanks it works with my Firefox
