Now he's back with double his original pay...:confused:

it was obviously all about money lah...

man utd operating costs now even worse.

Maybe that was his intention all along!
Blackmail the club to get double pay.

Low class in character :thumbsd:
High class in bank figure

Didn't he say he wanted to leave because he felt the club no longer can attract top players?
So how does him earning $180,000 pounds per week help the club to attract top players?

when he said Man Utd not ambitious enough, all he meant was that his pay is not high enough.

but seriously, Rooney bargaining positioning was damn strong, can u imagine he wait out his contract and walk away free. Even triggering the buyout of $5m will cripple man utd financially.

$180,000 pounds per week!

in recent world cup did not show any sign of being world class

Well, it was supposed to be 150,000 pounds when they offer him the contract... Which is the highest in terms of pay in that team, still wanted more...

Now that he's contracted to Man U for an extra 5 years and Man U knowing so many clubs willing to buy him, he will be sold during the January transfer window.

U don't upset SAF, he'll have his way soon enough.

They wanted 50 million for him, that could have bought them 2 class players. Must be kicking themselves for letting go on Oezil, his recent form in La Liga has been wonderful

Is Rooney worth the 180K/week price tag? :dunno:

based on EPL subscription, he might worth it, else how on earth could the bosses pay him that salary every week for just running around the field only. all punters or the red shirt fans are always singing praises of him.. remember his world cup drought/misery?

Unless he puts in a goal every game or two, no. 180k a week is simply too much money to spend on just one player. Rooney's form of late has not been inspiring and he'd better step up his play or the fans are just going to turn on him again.

Van der Vaart(who was an astounding bargain for the transfer money) gets 44k a week and his form has just been superb, 5 goals in 7 matches.
