Singapore's Ronald Susilo beat Germany's Bjoern Joppien 15-11 15-6 to reach the last eight of the Olympic men's badminton singles competition.

Seems like he is on his way for our 2nd olympic medal ever for Singapore!

I think 3rd. We had a silver in weightlifting a long, long time ago, if i'm not mistaken.

That silver in weightlifting won by Tan Howe Liang was our first and only Olympic medal. If Susilo brings back a medal, it will only be our 2nd. I think the motivation to win a gold medal is very high as there is a S$1 million prize that will come along with it.
