Rode has begun to ship the Videomic Pro, a new version of its compact shotgun microphone designed for use in digital SLR and camcorder video capture. It features a redesigned shock mount system for reduced pickup of camera handling noise, promised improved sound quality including lower hiss, smaller size and - at 3oz/85g - it's less than half the weight of the previous Videomic model.
