Rob Galbraith: Production of Nikkor SLR lenses reached 50 million in August

Nikon has announced that total production of Nikkor SLR lenses reached 50 million in August. The first such lens - a Nikkor-S Auto 5cm f/2 - came to market in 1959, alongside the Nikon F camera. Five million of the 50 million Nikkor SLR lenses manufactured to date were produced in the last year.
