Lytro is a California start-up that plans to build and sell light field cameras, which take pictures that can be focused almost anywhere in the image after capture and which can also make 3D images without dual lenses, among other new capabilities. The company says it will be making and selling a consumer priced point-and-shoot by the end of this year.
