Foreign Policy magazine has published the first two parts of a five-part series of photo essays shot in Afghanistan by experienced photojournalists mostly using iPhones and the Hipstamatic iOS app. The first two photographers featured are Teru Kuwayama and Balazs Gardi. Their work is part of an experimental social media/news project called Basetrack that combines photography, feeds, Facebook posts, Google Maps, and more.
