Lethbridge (Canada) Herald staff photographer Ian Martens though the most memorable part of his workday last Friday would be a tandem jump with the Canadian Forces Skyhawks skydiving team. While returning to his car after the jump, and still shaky from the adrenaline rush, he paused to train his Nikon D300 on a CF-18 Hornet fighter jet being put through a slow, low-altitude pass over the Lethbridge airport in preparation for the weekend's Alberta International AirShow. Moments later, he would make a series of pictures of the pilot safely ejecting and the plane crashing that would be seen around the world. Read his account.
