Last fall, Agence France-Presse staff photographer Carl de Souza shot a series of photos inside a steel mill in Islamabad, Pakistan. Armed with a Nikon D3S, he captured the grit and beauty of the molten metal rods, and the workers wrangling them, during a day-and-a-half at the hot, smoky facility in the country's capital. The result is a set of remarkable pictures of an industrial setting few get to see. We spoke to de Souza about the experience.
