Apple today has unveiled the iPhone 4S, and will ship it on October 14 in the U.S., Canada, Australia, the UK, France, Germany and Japan, with pre-ordering to begin October 7. Other countries will follow starting on October 28. The company has also set October 12 for the release of iOS 5, the next major iteration of the operating system for the company's range of mobile devices, as well as iCloud, their new online storage and syncing service, plus updated and iCloud-savvy versions of Keynote, Pages and Numbers for Mac.
