I walked into the photo department today and saw fellow staffer and SS member Rob Mattson using what I affectionately call the "Kmart Ring Lite." Four strobes (powered all the way down) taped around a 17-55mm lens was all it took to produce the same effect as a ring lite as he shot a young model through a reflector for an illustration on metallic makeup.
