Seems to be very highly anticipated by most of the well know street shooter bloggers :

The Game has changed: Ricoh GRD V - Fstopeight

Street Photography Camera Game-Changer: The Ricoh GRD V

Announcing the Ricoh GR (Digital V)

The new Pentax/Ricoh GR Camera is ready to stomp on the Coolpix A | STEVE HUFF PHOTOS

I've got to admit that I know nuts about Ricoh GR series, but its certainly an impressive positive response so far from so many well known street photographer bloggers.

Mostly because we loved the GR1/GR1s film cameras (which still sold for $200-$300 plus on evil-bay) in the old film days. I'm sure a lot guys would buy this camera even just for memory sack, me included :)

BTW, Ricoh won't call it GRD 5 but simply a GR, just to differentiate w/ the GRD series (which have much smaller sensors)

We don’t compete in a numbers game using catalog specs
“The World’s Best” is a naive temptation for manufacturers. However, we believe that in itself is meaningless. We know that it details which cannot be expressed by specifications are important.

We don’t include functions just because they are popular
We don’t chase easy trends. “Is this right for the GR?” This is the only standard we base decisions on, always asking this question because we want to create new value.

We won’t use a design simply to stand out
Only a form that fits the function, and designs that will stand the test of time as a camera will remain. We aim for design that cannot be noticed, design that feels as if it has always been there.

We won’t produce simple model changes
The most important thing is how long the camera will be used. For us, each and every person who buys a GR will always be important.

Never lose the ability to challenge or make a proposal
The only camera that can beat a GR is another GR. We want to always continue trying out new plans and proposals. Always exceed users’ expectations. We believe that is the GR’s role.

I've been reading up on Ricoh since the GXR and understand that the GRD series has a very strong cult following. Have always been very intrigued.

Been reading nothing but good things about the GR, and I loves prime lenses since I started out on Pentax. Looks like the GR with the 28mm lens might become my very first Ricoh camera!:)

GXR 28 is one of my best experience, the only wish i have for this very interesting GR camera is when APD reduce their sensor cleaning price

may be time to switch to GR, which is not modular system. there should be no issue with sensor cleaning.

To those who have used grd iv and GR, is it worth waiting for? Or does the iv still hold sthing that the GR doesn't have?

I'd say go for the GR is a no-brainer for those GRD users if money isn't an issue :) You won't find another full featured p&s camera w an APSC sensor and is so compact and responsive. I've held the camera for a couple hours now, all I can say is that this camera is gonna be a hot seller, and hopefully a game changer for Ricoh/Pentax.

But of course the price for GR IV right now is just ridiculously low, a great buy over most compact cameras IMO.
