I read through the forum. Some of you say store the cameras at 40% to 50% RH?

I got my AD-040 recently, and the manual says its around 45% to 55%?
so store at which?

and i dun see no red LED... only a green one that dims n glows brighter as u turn it higher

I keep my equipment within 45 - 55 % and it works just fine.

My AD-060 stays around 42%.....

Anything between 40%RH to 55%RH should be just fine

I kept mine between 45% - 55% as recommended by the dri-cabi.

I'll just follow the manufacturer recommendation. 45-55% is just fine.

New models only have a green LED.

What if it is under 40%. I use silica gel and the analogue hygrometer goes down to 30%. Do I really need to take out some gel?

Whoa. u better get it back to 40%+. too low the gears may jam

woah...ur equipment will get DRY & jammed + u will see ur rubber parts cracking up ... :sweat:

yup i noticed this happening when i on the aircon. =)

also try to be in the middle of the suitable range than in an extreme. RH meters are pretty inaccurate, and the reading you see may be different than it actually is. I have two meters in my cabi, each about 6-8% different from the other.

Aircon room humidity is around 40 - 45 if automatic cooling mode is selected.
