RFSG Monthly Mini - Jul 2010 "Shadows & Textures"

Hi All, Sorry for the late start.

The theme for Jul 2010 is "Shadows & Textures". It's up to your own Interpretation of this theme. Please ENSURE you include a TITLE for your submission and either write a short summary of why your pics suited the theme stated or simply let the photos do the talking for you.

Rules are very simple:

1. Competition period Jul 12th to Jul 31th 2010
2. Please submit 3 of your best shots with a short explanatory of how "Shadows & Textures" figures into your submission by Jun 31th 2010
3. All entries will be judged American Idol style by your fellow members
4. Judging period will be from Aug 1st to Aug 7th, 2010
5. Top 3 entries will be posted by Aug 8th 2010: winner has bragging rights for the rest of the month (haha) and be submitted to the Hall of Fame thread (wow!)

Francis, the sonnar is indeed very good and sharp. It just shines with your favorite film...

Centrestage-
In life, am just a minor character on stage-like the guy tucked in the corner. You will be in the limelight and shine during certain period in life. However when the sun sets, the circular light patch will get smaller and soon you will be in the darkness.
Similarly, there are ups and downs in life. If you wanna prosper, you gonna climb the stairs, tedious but you get to enjoy the light for a bit longer. Each timber tread has its own texture, each piece is different, just like in life you face different people different events each day. If you are lucky enough, you get support from friends and family, just like holding on to the railing.
In life, the road is never straight and always winding and full of surprises. Should you afraid to pick up the first step, you can choose the easy way out and stay put on ground.
