Thanks for posting! An eye opener to me at least.

I have turned auto sensor cleaning off on my EOS 400D. I felt that it didn't work well.

This article confirms my initial doubt about its affectiveness.

So I have been saving a bit of battery power. :)

Ha! It seemed that my trusty rocket blower is still the better dust buster.

Well, the vibration dust busting thingy did sell a good number of cameras for them, didn't it? It's more effective at marketing than dust busting.

"During the space race, the Americans faced with a problem. The ink from pens depended on gravity to flow and in space where there is no gravity, the pens cannot be used to make recordings. So NASA spent millions of dollars into research and finally came out with the world's first anti gravity pen.

The Russians also faced with the same problem. They used pencil."

This was a classic joke that I heard. Sometimes, low tech just gives you the best solution. Haha.
