Had my wife's old Cosina 35-70mm zoom lens, the old, manual Apeture ring type, and thought of using it for reverse lens macro. Not a technical good shot, but just to illustrate the magnifying effect to arouse interest. I don't have any reverse ring, so its hand held.

The subject is a diamond ring, and the diamond is about 3mm in diameter. The first 2 pics are un cropped, and the last is cropped to remove the vignetting. All are resized. First one is taken by 6T for reference. The zoom is 12x on FZ10, and the lens, is set to 70mm, infinite focus, and biggest apeture (F3.6). ALL taken with bounced flash.

Yep, I think its about something like this:

70mm------- 5mm diameter (Vignetting circle)
50mm------- 4 mm
35mm------- 3 mm

Or there about......
