Yeap, you use the reverse adaptors such that you can reverse mount your lens for macro. However, you lose all ability to AF and all electronic information feedback to the camera body. A popular lens used is the 50mm f/1.8 since its relatively cheap.

What is it for?

For you to mount your lens reverse for macro shot. I have one unused available if you are interested. Fits 58mm size lens.

Good to experience with it before sinking in funds for a real macro lens.
