For those who were born in 70's and 80's:

1) Last time hor, TV got a programme call "Beyond 2000"
2) School children had to brush their teeth beside the drain during recess time
3) Take public bus got conductor punch hole on the ticket for you, and the ticket had colours to represent the fare value
4)A kind of game call "Hamtam Bola" was quite popular among boys
5)Play "Kuti kuti" with plastic moulded fishes
6)There would be spelling tests and mental sums to do almost everyday
7)Sinalco and Kickapoo
8)You freaked out when th teacher sent you to the dentist
9)40 cts milk in pyramid packing
10) SBC is the name for TCS

hehe i prefer to catch spiders for fights and also long kang fishes.

11) There was also Escape Club, Richard Marx, Wilson Philips and Bananarama. Plus Qi Qin. And 'Xing Yao' music was the best along with those cheesy music videos.
12) Playing 'zero point' with the girls during recess time. Whoever has the longest and most colorful 'zero point' was most popular.
13) Five stones.
14) Catching grasshoppers and keeping them in pencil box.
15) OG catwalk show at 8pm on channel 8.
16) Feeder bus ride was 10 cents. No transitlink card. Only pay with coins. All the seats were red and warm and the bus was always booming.
170 School bus driver always use a cane and whacked those of us who were naughty.
 

18) Tay Ban Guan at Katong was popular among teens
19) "Katong shopping centre" was the buzzword for folks living in the east
20) ABBA, Carpenters, Bee Gees songs always heard on radio and music stores
21) Almost every household got this thing call "Rediffusion"
22) You bring you own egg for your char kuay or char kuay teow:bsmilie:
23) Van Kleef Aquarium and National Theatre @ river valley opposite Liang court
 

21) We used to rush home to catch the 6.30pm cartoon shows like "Mask" "Transformers" "Centurions"

Not forgetting the cartoons Visionaries, Thundercats and He-man
There'd be Electric Company and Rainbow to sing along to with their theme songs
You learnt how important Math was by watching Mathnet
Voltron was lions and then cars based.
My Little Pony was such a girly thing but you could never turn it off or away from it.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles looked alot friendlier than they do now.
 

Smurfs! "Are we there yet, Papa Smurf?"

All the HK-imported 老夫子 comics that were sold at market newspaper stands.

Xiang Yun was our local SBC hottie.

And speaking of hotties...remember the japanese drama serials showcasing super-power tennis and volleyball moves...all the somersaults and short skirts....

And the long running japanese series Ah Xin. I still remember her demure smile...
